Djed Spence is beginning to find his feet at Inter after leaving Tottenham in the summer, with the wing-back saying he is already feeling at home in Italy.
The former Spurs defender delivered an impressive performance in Inter’s 3-0 Champions League victory over Feyenoord, setting up Yann Bisseck’s opening goal before his dangerous cross helped create the second.
Spence was named UEFA Player of the Match for his display, and he used the opportunity to explain how his adaptation to life at the Italian club is progressing.
“I’m settling in well. The team and the coach have made me feel really welcome and have helped me a lot.”
Djed Spence, speaking to Inter
Those are encouraging words for the 26-year-old, who made the move from north London to San Siro in August after four years at Tottenham.

Spence had enjoyed a strong finish to his Spurs career and played a part in the club’s Europa League triumph, but competition for places meant a new challenge awaited him. Inter’s decision to bring him in has given him the chance to test himself in Serie A and the Champions League.
His display against Feyenoord was a significant step in making an impression. Spence’s pace and willingness to attack caused problems down the right, while his recovery speed also helped Inter defensively.
For Tottenham supporters watching from afar, it is another reminder of the quality they have lost – and why Spurs made a mistake selling Spence.
The defender appears to be settling into his new surroundings – and his latest performance suggests he could have an important role to play for Inter.
