Former Tottenham defender Djed Spence delivered a superb performance for Inter Milan as they cruised to a 3-0 Champions League victory over Feyenoord on Tuesday night, earning the official Player of the Match award after an influential display.
The ex-Spurs man completed the full 90 minutes in Rotterdam, producing a performance that showcased the pace, energy and attacking threat Lilywhite supporters saw during his time in north London.
Spence made an immediate impact, setting up Yann Bisseck for Inter’s opening goal in the eighth minute. He then played a part in the second, with his cross taking a deflection before Francesco Pio Esposito headed home shortly before half-time.

Piotr Zielinski added a third early in the second half as Inter secured a comfortable win, but Spence remained one of the standout performers. He repeatedly drove forward down the right, took on his marker and got into dangerous crossing positions, while his recovery pace also helped Inter deal with Feyenoord’s attempts to break.
It was Spence’s third start for Inter since joining from Tottenham, following starts against Shakhtar Donetsk on October 21 and AC Milan on October 31. His latest display was a significant step forward after a spell in which he had largely been used from the bench.
The official Inter website labelled Spence as ‘relentless’ in their coverage.
With Tottenham struggling for options at right-back earlier in the season when Pedro Porro was injured, Spurs selling Spence looked like a mistake.
It appears the England international is thriving in Italy in his new challenge.
