Tottenham Hotspur could be set for a welcome boost in the transfer market, with Juventus increasingly expected to make Guglielmo Vicario’s move to Turin permanent.
The Italian goalkeeper joined Juventus on loan after bringing his spell in north London to an end, and the Serie A side appear to have been impressed by what they have seen so far.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are increasingly confident they will activate the purchase option in their agreement with Tottenham.

The option is reportedly worth €8 million (£6.6 million), with a further €2 million potentially available in bonuses. The report suggests the permanent transfer is now close to being a formality, although Juventus have not officially exercised the clause.
We recently looked at Vicario’s encouraging start at Juventus, where he kept three clean sheets in his first six Serie A appearances. His regular involvement has helped strengthen the case for the Italian club to make the move permanent.
That would provide Spurs with clarity over Vicario’s future and bring in a transfer fee for a player who arrived from Empoli in 2023. The goalkeeper had become an increasingly uncertain part of Tottenham’s plans, making a permanent departure a sensible outcome for all parties.
Juventus are said to value not only Vicario’s performances but also the experience he can bring to their dressing room, with the 30-year-old viewed as someone who can help guide younger players.
For Tottenham, the priority will be ensuring the deal is completed on the reported terms. Nothing has been finalised yet, but Juventus’ apparent willingness to commit to Vicario permanently is encouraging news for Spurs.
