Tottenham could have Savio back in their matchday squad for Saturday’s trip to Leeds United, with the winger reportedly making progress in his recovery from a muscle injury.
The Brazilian has missed Tottenham’s last three Premier League matches after picking up the problem in October.
His absence has been a frustrating interruption to his first months in north London, particularly after he began to show the qualities Spurs hoped to add to their attack when signing him from Manchester City.

However, there is now renewed hope that Savio could be involved at Elland Road.
Football London reported that the 22-year-old had been seen back training with his team-mates at Hotspur Way this week, raising the possibility of an earlier return than initially expected.
There is still a note of caution. Roberto De Zerbi had previously indicated that Savio would not be ready until after the November international break.
Speaking ahead of the Crystal Palace game on October 31, the Spurs head coach said the winger was expected to return after the break.

That means a place in the squad against Leeds is not guaranteed, and even if Savio is available, he may not be ready to feature for a significant period. A return to training is an encouraging step, but match fitness is another matter.
Nevertheless, having another attacking option available would be a welcome boost for De Zerbi as Tottenham look to extend their winning run to four Premier League games.
